Returns and exchanges

We hope you’re delighted with your purchase, but if you’re not completely satisfied there are lots of ways we can help. Sometimes an issue can be resolved quickly by contacting our customer service, our email is support@gobob.co.uk.

All returns must be made within 14 days from the date of purchase. All exchanges must be made within 30 days from the date of purchase. GoBob will only offer a full refund to the customer if the product (and any accessories that came with the product or the package) is (a) In original packaging and in a resaleble condition (b) Unused (c) The machine cannot have more than zero hour on the clock. The refund will be made in the same payment method as the initial purchase, if you paid on card or bank transfer, it can take up to 7 working days to appear in your account. It is essential to present the receipt or invoice for all returns or exchanges. If the product has been opened and found faulty, we would honour the exchange or refund. Steam guns are exempt from exchange or refunds for hygiene reasons, except for those that are returned unopened and sealed. GoBob guarantees the coverage of any product or device purchased from us for the duration of warranty validity. Customer is responsible for any return or exchange shipping costs.

Online purchase – The item is your responsibility until it reaches us. Therefore for your own protection it is recommended that you send the parcel using a delivery service that insures you for the value of the goods.

Warranty

OPTIMA STEAMER LIMITED WARRANTY

GoBob Ltd hereby warrants that new Optima Steamers purchased directly from GoBob Ltd in the UK will be free from defects in material and workmanship for the period of time stated below, subject to certain limitations.

OUR WARRANTY POLICY

This warranty is not transferable and covers replacement parts only.  This warranty does not cover any consequential damages or business loss.

Machine with one or more operating hour is classed as a used machine.

THE PERIOD OF WARRANTY

The warranty on your Optima Steamer is twelve (12) months from the date of purchase by the original owner against defects in material and workmanship.

General exclusions from this warranty shall include any failures caused by:

a. Installation of parts, attachments or accessories that are not original to the unit or genuine Optima Steamer parts. (i.e. external aftermarket attachments such as exhaust duct extension)

b. Abnormal strain, neglect, or abuse. c. Lack of proper maintenance.

d. Accident or collision damage.

e. Changing or altering factory settings without consulting with an authorized technician.

f. Damage or malfunctions resulting from natural calamity, freezing, theft, accident, vandalism, abuse due to misapplication and/or improper site conditions.

g. Water damage

h. Electrical damage from including, but not limited to improper use of extension cords, failure to meet proper voltage requirements, incorrect or insufficient amperage circuit.

i. Insufficient unobstructed distance on exhaust

j. normal wear and tear – normal noise, vibration, wear and tear, and deterioration such as discoloration and deformation.

Items not covered under warranty include:

a. Parts replaced due to normal wear or routine maintenance including, but not limited to sensors, filters, fuses, valves, pipes, electrodes, cables and fittings (i.e. nipples, couplings, o-rings, etc)

b. Consumable or wearing items requiring replacement as part of normal operation including, but not limited to steam hoses and guns.

c. Any transportation or travel costs.

d. Reimbursement for rental units while repairing warranty items.

e. Normal maintenance items such as: draining tanks and boiler, descaling, filter and sensor changes, boiler cleaning, tightening and sealing bolts and fittings and others stated in the User Manual.

f. Failure caused by water scale problem due to local water conditions.

g. Warranty work completed after 30 days from discovery.

h. Damage, problems or failure caused by factors external to the product including, but not limited to, faulty or poor external electrical wiring, incorrect or faulty power supply, voltage fluctuations, over voltage transients or electromagnetic interference, inadequate or faulty water or fuel.

CUSTOMER’S RESPONSIBILITY

Under this warranty, the customer’s responsibility shall be to:

a. Operate and maintain the machine as specified in the instructions manual.

b. Give notice to authorized Optima Steamer dealer or GoBob Ltd. of apparent defects within seven (7) days after discovery.

c. Provide proof of purchase, purchase date, and serial number of the warranty item(s).

d. Make the unit available for inspection and repairs at the service centre. If shipped, transit costs should be prepaid.

OUR RESPONSIBILITY

We are responsible to you for any loss or damage that you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these Terms or of failing to use reasonable care and skill in relation to your use of our Service. We are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable. Loss or damage is “foreseeable” if it is either obvious that it will happen, or if you told us that it might happen, for example if you tell us about particular circumstances that might increase the loss or damage arising from our breach of these Terms before you place an order.

We do not exclude or limit our responsibility to you for loss or damage where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes any responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our failure, or our employees’, agents’ or subcontractors’ failure, to use reasonable care and skill; for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; for breach of your legal rights in relation to the Items, as summarised at part 7 above; or for defective Items under the Consumer Protection Act 1987. Subject to the previous paragraph, we are not responsible for any loss or damage that you suffer as a result of your own breach of these Terms, or as a result of any IT hardware or software failure other than a failure in our Applications.  

GoBob will not be liable, in contract, tort (including, without limitation, negligence) or otherwise pursuant to or in connection with these terms for:

  • any economic losses (including without limitation loss of revenues, profits, contracts, business or anticipated savings);
  • any loss of goodwill or reputation; or
  • any special, indirect, inconsequential, exemplary, incidental or punitive losses, suffered or incurred by you out of or in connection with your purchase under these terms.
  • In the event that a product is faulty, your sole remedy and our sole liability will be repairing and replacing the product.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or fraud.

Holding Deposit

You can pre-order your machine from us and we may take a holding deposit from you. Please note all deposits are non refundable and non transferable.

Referral Program & Vouchers

This Referral Program is open to selected GoBob customers aged 18 or over who have made at least 1 machine purchase order. “Refer a business” reward voucher can be redeemed one month after the referee has completed their purchase.

We may discontinue our Referral Program at any time. Unless we tell you otherwise, all Vouchers or credit must be redeemed within two calendar months of the date they are applied. Vouchers cannot be redeemed in conjunction with any other offer. If you cancel an order made using a Voucher, the Voucher credit will not be restored to the account and the Voucher cannot be re-used. Credits cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternatives and have no monetary value. Vouchers or credit are not transferrable.

PaymentCustomer Data Sharing

In order to offer you Klarna’s payment methods, we might in the checkout pass your personal data in the form of contact and order details to Klarna, in order for Klarna to assess whether you qualify for their payment methods and to tailor those payment methods for you.
